Okaay. I know that right now you're already thinking to yourselves, "What did she do?!". Well, well, I just did one of my firsts again before this year ends. No, not what you're thinking! But Yes, I watched Cebu Live Bands and went to The Outpost Restobar. Wooot!
To begin our story, I went there because of a friend who's performing there for the first time. She's one of my closest friends and of the best musicians I know. So, we went to the Outpost to watch her play and then stayed to watch the rest of the bands. The Bethany also played there and my jaw dropped when my friend told me that they were the band who shared the stage with us during the bandahan segment of Cookout 2010. Imagine?! Super choii sila then nag share diay mi ug stage that night, I didn't even know!! Whaatttt? :(
Another band is The Line Divides. I so love this band since the night before I saw them live. But another shocking thing is that. During Cookout. The band set we've used was also the bandset they've used. So it's like, The Line Divides, then Bethany, then us. Whatt?! They were the band that we've watched backstage and never listened well on how amazing they were?! FFFFF. ...
After that night I really thought to myself on how lucky I am this year. My blessings, cookout, and sharing the stage with those bands, watching them live, opening up my heart to pinoy music. I hope everybody would see how wonderful our music is. As much as possible we embrace Pinoy music as tight as foreign music. If everyone would do this, then I guess sooner or later we will be influential and so improved, economically and culturally.
